In this portion of the lab, we're combining copper metal with nitric acid, creating aqueous cupric nitrate, water, and nitrogen dioxide. In this video, Garrett is demonstrating many techniques to insure accuracy. including, check to make, sure all of the nitric acid is out of the graduated cylinder, he got low to make sure the correct amount of nitric acid was used. He also tilted the graduated cylinder vertically to ensure the acid was all out.
